Bio

Shelley Hoose has worked in the communications field for 30+ years. She has been a senior associate for a public relations firm where she produced a range of marketing and business publications, a technical writer and editor creating documentation for software, and editor-in-chief of a travel destination website where she wrote feature articles and managed a large team of editors and writers.

She has written and edited a wide range of marketing publications and collateral, including brochures, newsletters, feature articles, press releases, ads, direct mail, business reports, and grant proposals.

In addition, she is a senior technical writer with an emphasis on computer software. Projects have included developing and writing whitepapers, user guides, programmer guides, readmes, and API and reference documentation. Other experience includes project management and training, and developing internal documentation and style guides for technical and creative writing teams.

Industry experience includes software, medicine, business, education, agriculture, the environment, sports, music, real estate, construction, travel, child development, and human services.

She has a Journalism degree from the University of Southern California.
